Training
Board & Train
We offer Board & Train services for both the serious gundog enthusiast, as well as creating a well-mannered family pet. The Obedience portion of the program lasts 4 weeks for both scenarios. Gundog training adds on an addition 4-8 weeks, depending on your goals, the dog's aptitude, etc.
Bird Dogs
We train most sporting breeds, for both upland and waterfowl. On the competitive side, we also run AKC Retriever and Pointing breed Hunt Tests. When you call to set up the training for your gundog, be sure to discuss your specific goals - the level of steadiness, what type of hunting you'd like to pursue, any "extras" that may not necessarily be a part of your breed's basic training (i.e. water work with pointing breeds, etc.), and if you're interested in attaining any hunt test titles.
Pet Obedience
Our 4-week Board & Train Obedience program gives your dog all the basics they need to know in order to be a well-rounded family pet. At the end of the four weeks, we have a showing where you come to the facility and learn how to work with your new dog. We go through how to handle distractions, corrections, praise, and more. We also offer Canine Good Citizen testing through the AKC if you would like to add on a title during your pet's stay!
